New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards

Every year for the last 47 years Gore has hosted the New Zealand Gold Guitar Awards. This event attracts artists from around the world and continues to grow in stature and popularity.

Visitors to Gore leave with fond memories of the ‘Southern Hospitality’ and along with the locals, just soak up the Country Music atmosphere.

Gore's love for country music legends

The Hands of Fame statue is not only a salute to Gore’s status as New Zealand’s country music capital. It serves as a tribute to country music hall of famers worldwide.

Here you will find the hands prints of international artists such as Kenny Rogers, Gary Morris and Ricky Skaggs alongside Kiwi legends such as Ray Columbus, The Topp Twins and Suzanne Prentice.
